EllisMiller are a design-focused architectural practice founded in 1993 and based in the heart of London's East End. We belong to the modernist British architectural tradition, designing humane buildings which are sensitive to their context, sustainable, robust, crafted and affordable. Our ethos of extracting the maximum potential out of each project regardless of scale or budget is reflected by the industry awards and honours that we have received since our formation, including 7 RIBA awards.
Unlike many architectural practices, we do not define ourselves by our size or the scale of our projects. With combined skills in architecture, masterplanning, Client Design Advisor work and strategic consulting, we are involved in a diverse variety of projects at different scales, ranging from advising on billion pound public sector procurement projects to the design and construction of one-off private houses.
Fundamental to the way we work is the collaboration and building of meaningful relationships with both clients and consultants who share our passion for delivering high quality, best value design solutions. Whether we are working on a £24k house refurbishment or a £24m new-build mixed-use community campus, we aim to provide a responsive, personalised service that meets the very highest levels of industry standards.
EllisMiller are closely associated with a number of industry and government bodies involved in championing design quality. We have acted as members of the CABE Enabling and Schools Design Review Panels, RIBA Awards and Education Committees as well as Regional Development Agency and London Borough Design Review Panels. Through actively supporting our built environment industry, our strategic work provides us with an exceptional level of expertise, which naturally informs our in-house work.
