Working in consortium with HNW Architects and Wates, Ellis-Miller + Partners secured this complex refurbishment and extension project following a competitive bid process. The school, a specialist sports college containing Grade II-listed buildings, remained fully operational throughout construction via a carefully phased decant strategy.

The scheme transformed the campus through sensitive refurbishment of the listed structures, significant environmental upgrades to existing blocks and the addition of a new state-of-the-art teaching wing linked by a light-filled ETFE-roofed atrium. The project demonstrates our expertise in large-scale interventions within constrained urban sites, collaborative working with partner practices and contractors, and the successful integration of contemporary educational design into historic settings.
